Janitor at Werrington Primary School

Hours: 15 hrs/week – equivalent to 3 hrs per day/whole year.
Pay Grade: 2.3
The Governors are looking to appoint a new janitor to join our school team. The successful candidate should be a practical, reliable and trustworthy person who will have responsibility for the security of the school buildings and grounds. The janitor is also responsible for ensuring that the premises are maintained to a high standard and meet health and safety requirements.
This will involve undertaking opening up/locking up, daily refuse removal duties, checking and maintaining the school’s outdoor areas, general portage, replenishing stock, identifying any health and safety issues and communicating with other members of staff/contractors on site with regard to any issues.
You should be well-motivated and capable of working unsupervised under your own initiative. Previous experience of working in a school or similar environment is desirable but training can be provided.
