Thursday 8th July 2021.
As I’m sure you are aware, the government has recently announced a range of measures to do with schools, some of which come into place on the 19th of July.
As a school, we have decided that we will not be adopting these changes before the end of term and that we will continue with the actions we are currently taking to make our school as safe as possible. This includes retaining year group ‘bubbles’.
Unfortunately, as we have found out over the last week, ‘bubbles’ do not stop the virus from coming into school, but it does minimise the spread.
From 16th August, the government have said that children under the age of 18 will not have to isolate if they have been in contact with a positive case. We will look carefully at our plans over the summer and can reassure you that we will continue to have systems in place to minimise any risk to all members of our school community – We will provide more details closer to the start of the Autumn term.
Thank you for your continued support – It has really been appreciated in what has been a very challenging past 18 months for everybody.
